Burna Boy, a musician from Nigeria, was inspired by the Makola Market women’s rendition of his song “City Boys” and decided to show his gratitude by erecting a billboard in Makola, Accra.

This touching act was motivated by a popular TikTok video made by Ghanaian dancer Official Starter, known for his “Happy Town Project.”

The excited women took part in the Nigerian singer’s “City Boy” challenge in the viral video. Popular Ghanaian dancer Official Starter, who is well-known for his viral videos featuring the market women dancers, posted the video on social media first.

The video quickly gained popularity after Burna Boy saw it and reposted it on his Instagram story so that his 15 million followers could see Accra’s submission for the challenge.

Burna Boy was moved by their spirit and made the decision to express his gratitude by using their pictures to decorate the Makola billboard.

One of the songs on the “Africa Giant” singer’s most recent album, “I Told Them,” is “City Boy.” The Nigerian singer’s seventh studio album was made available on August 25, 2023, via Atlantic, Spaceship Records, and Bad Habit.

The Wu-Tang Clan’s GZA and RZA, 21 Savage, Dave, Seyi Vibez, J. Cole, and Byron Messia all make cameos on the album.

In other news, Naira Marley has relocated to Lagos in order to actively assist law enforcement in the investigation into the tragic death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as MohBad.

He expressed on Twitter his dedication to supporting the law enforcement and emphasized the significance of his involvement in pursuing justice for Imole, or MohBad, as he was affectionately known.

In a viral video sighted on Twitter, the video captures the moment Naira Marley was being whisked away by the police as soon as he arrived in Nigerian at the airport. He was seen been led by some policemen to enter a vehicle at the airport on his return.
