Alan John Kyerematen, an independent running for president, has advised Ghanaians to vote against both the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.
In an interview with Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin on the GhanAkoma evening political show on Akoma FM 98.9MHz in Kumasi, the former Trade and Industry Minister expressed his opinion that the two main political parties are to blame for the current problems in the nation.
If elected on December 7, 2024, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has vowed to work to correct the mismanagement that has dogged the nation for the previous four decades.
He is confident that he can bring all political parties and institutions together under a national unity government because he understands that Ghanaians are looking for a new leader, not a new political party.
Mr. Alan Kyerematen has urged the creation of a comprehensive national plan to promote the country’s development, with an emphasis on women’s empowerment, sustainable job creation, and other important issues.
“It’s obvious people here are desperately in need of jobs but here we are, with many youth or university graduates unemployed in the country. We can employ many people if we put the right things in place,” he said.
He added that the empowerment of women would be given top priority by his government.
In other political news, Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the position of flagbearer, claims that his political party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is robbing the nation blindly.
He claims that given how those in power are robbing the populace, it is unsettling to think about what the youth of this nation’s future may hold.
This was stated by Kennedy Agyapong in a speech to party supporters before the election on November 4, 2023.
Kennedy Agyapong stated that he was determined to lead the NPP and improve the party and that he would not yield to any intimidation.
