Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Church, has sent a warning to African leaders and politicians in his latest sermon preached recently.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams while preaching to congregation on Sunday took the opportunity to address the recent #OccupyJulorbiHouse demo which was staged by Ghanaian youth to pir out their grievances to the government.
According to the popular preacher, politicians stand at risk if they ignore the grievances of the youth.
He said just as U.S citizens are holding former president Donald Trump responsible, there will also come a day after 2025 where the youth will hold African leaders and politicians accountable.
He urged politicians to be very skillful and tactical in dealing with the youth of this generation because they have nothing to lose.
“It is a big issue for African leaders and politicians to ignore the cry and the restlessness and the frustrations of the youth. It is a very bad move for any government in Africa to ignore the cry and the concern of the next generation because it is difficult to satisfy them, you’ve got to meet them half-way, you have to pay attention. If they feel they are been ignored, they are been disrespected, they can do something crazy that is what brought the Arab uprising,” Archbishop Duncan-Williams said.
The Archbishop advised African leaders and politicians to study history and also look at some of the countries which have experienced coup d’tat in recent times.

The #OccupyJulorbiHouse demo which originally started on Thursday, September 21, unexpectedly changed course when the police got involved, detaining 49 of the organizers on suspicion of unlawful assembly.
Demonstrators gathered at the 37 bus terminal for the planned protest when the incident happened. Late on Thursday night, the protesters were released after negotiations between their attorneys and law enforcement.
