All regional chairs in the 47 constituencies have been instructed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region to immediately take down any signs, banners, or other campaign materials connected to the late Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen from their respective party offices.

The former flagbearer candidate, in the party’s opinion, is no longer a member; therefore, anything connected to him should be thrown away.

The NPP stressed that Mr. Kyerematen’s promotional materials are no longer relevant within the party offices as a result of his resignation in a memo dated September 25, 2023, signed by Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako , the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, and addressed to all constituency chairpersons in the Ashanti Region.

“In view of Hon. Alan Kyerematen’s resignation from the party, all his posters, banners, flyers and paraphernalia at our party offices in all the constituencies must be removed with immediate effect. Once he has forfeited his membership, it is just right and fair that these items are removed from our offices” the memo signed by Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako read.

Meanwhile, Alan’s wife Mrs. Patricia Kyerematen has rallied her support behind Mr. Alan Kyerematen resignation from New Patriotic Party (NPP) and contest in 2024 elections as independent candidate.

Speaking to the media after Alan addressed the nation on his political future, Mrs. Patricia Kyerematen said her husband is right person the country needs at the moment.

According to her, Alan Kyerematen is a good man who has the people of Ghana at heart and is ready to serve Ghanaians if voted into power.

“Now the signal is clear and it is more than possible that this will happen,” Mrs. Patricia Kyerematen said.

“Alan Kyerematen is a good man, honest, he’s visionary, he’s what Ghana needs at this time in our country,” she added.
