Relatively, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has indicated that all survey conducted both locally and international shows that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will lose power in 2024 elections.
Mr. Alan Kyerematen made this statement while speaking in an interview with TV3 shortly after he announced his resignation from the NPP.
According to him, his resignation and decision to contest for the 2024 Presidential seat as an independent candidate will provide an opportunity for NPP not go into opposition.
“My standing an independent candidate who has root from the NPP as a founding member, I am providing an opportunity for NPP to be part of the future government rather than risking possibility of going into opposition with no dividends,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared that Alan Kyerematen cannot be the answer to the mess the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in which he took part, caused.
He claimed that Alan is not a suitable replacement for the NPP’s failed current administration.
