Matthew Fredrick Riddle (born January 14, 1986) is an American professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand.
Riddle was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He began wrestling in high school and continued to wrestle in college at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. After college, Riddle signed with UFC and competed in the middleweight division. He compiled a record of 7-3 in the UFC.
In 2014, Riddle left the UFC to pursue a career in professional wrestling. He signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory, NXT. Riddle made his NXT debut in August 2015. He quickly rose through the ranks of NXT and became one of the most popular wrestlers in the brand.
In 2018, Riddle won the NXT Tag Team Championship with Pete Dunne. The two held the titles for over 200 days before losing them to The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly) in April 2019.
He made his Raw debut on June 22, 2020, and defeated The Miz in his debut match. Riddle has been one of the most popular wrestlers on Raw since his debut. He has won several matches against top stars such as Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles.
