Social media is buzzing as some Ghanaian have descended heavily on Akosua Agyapong who disagree with ‘no sex before marriage’ precaution.
Akosua Agyapong, a well-known female highlife singer from Ghana, has argued that the prohibition against having sex before marriage needs to be changed because it causes numerous issues in marriages.
She claims that the traditional idea that engaged couples must postpone sexual activity until after they get married needs to be reexamined and modified because it is leading to a lot of issues in society.
She stated during her appearance as a guest on Ghone’s Duvet show that this traditional moral principle is having a big impact on couples who are frequently left unhappy in their marriages because they did not get to know their partners sexually before marriage.
The singer went on to give evidence to support her claims, and in her opinion, having sex before getting married helps both partners identify any problems in their sexual lives so they can both correct their flaws and prevent any future marital issues.
”They have to change that ‘no sex before marriage’. Dem for change am now. E dey cause problems a lot. Your man might be impotent, you might know. Maybe your woman too might me something else.It’s a problem o,” Akosua Agyapong said in pidgin.

Her comments were met with backlash from Netizens who were of the opinion that the best course of action was to uphold traditional values that encourage abstinence.
