Ayawaso West Wougon Member of Parliament Lydia Alhassan Seyram jokingly accuses her contender National Democratic Congress’ John Dumelo as they clash at the Electoral Commission’s office in their bid to monitor the ongoing Limited voter registration exercise.

In the viral video sighted by InsightNewsgh.com, the two politician were seen at the registration center to check the whole the process.

In jokingly manner, Mrs. Lydia Alhassan alleged that John Dumelo was copying her style of politics. According to her, anything she does, the Ghanaian actor does same in the area.

However, John Dumelo also replied that he was going to her a showdown in the upcoming general election at the Ayawaso West Wougon constituency.

Dumelo later went on to shake the hands of the residents who had come to take part in the Limited Voter Registration exercise while charging them not to pay attention to Mrs. Lydia Alhassan.

Meanwhile, the exercise, which started on September 12, is being conducted at each district office of the Electoral Commission (EC) across the nation.

Despite the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and four other political parties requesting an injunction, the EC started the Limited Voters Registration Exercise on September 12. The 268 District Offices would host the registration, according to a statement from the Electoral Commission.

Nevertheless, on September 7th, a lawsuit was submitted by five political parties, including the NDC, the Convention People’s Party (CPP), the All People’s Congress, the Liberal Party of Ghana, and the Great Consolidated Popular Party.

They contend that the EC’s choice to restrict the upcoming voter registration drive to its district offices could result in the disenfranchisement of many eligible voters, particularly those who live in remote areas.
