Recently, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo charged Ghanaians to not to allow former president John Mahama come back to power in 2024 general elections.
According to him, Mahama is corrupt and his NDC government was called Official Government No.1, in the still unresolved Airbus Bribery Scandal.
He asserted that Ghana does not need the former President and flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as its leader.
President Nana Akufo-Addo made this comments after Mahama’s recent outburst against the judiciary, according to President Akufo-Addo’s remarks at the 2023 Ghana Bar Association Conference in Cape Coast, is dangerous for the nation’s democracy.
Additionally, he claimed that calling judges “NPP” or “NDC” is a flagrant attack on Ghana’s judicial system.
Following this, celebrated Ghanaian media personality, Bridget Otoo reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s reply to Mahama over his Judiciary comments.
In a post shared by Bridget Otoo on Twitter (X); the Metro TV presenter reminded President Akufo-Addo that the same Special Prosecutor he refereed Mahama to also called him “mother serpent of corruption.”
The tweet read, “The same Special Prosecutor said your were the mother Serpent of Corruption.”

Speaking last Sunday at a gathering of NDC attorneys, former president Mahama charged President Nana Akufo-Addo with overcrowding the courts with New Patriotic Party (NPP) judges.
On Saturday, September 2, the flagbearer of the NDC claimed that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had purposefully appointed the most judges to the bench in order to have people who would do his bidding when he is out of office and urged NDC members to “balance out” the bench. He made this claim during the closing ceremony of the 3rd Annual Lawyers Conference of the NDC.
Mr. Mahama asserted, “Currently, the judiciary is packed with NPP-inclined judges because this government has carried out a deliberate policy of putting their people onto the bench.”
