Afia Pokuaa, also known as Vim Lady, a prominent media figure in Ghana, has suggested that Mr. Alan Kyerematen and John Dramani Mahama might work together in the upcoming elections.
Alan’s statement, according to Afia Pokuaa’s analysis of it, was born out of frustration and reeks of impending vengeance.
Afia Pokuaa claimed that by working with Mahama, Alan could repay the NPP using their own currency.
To support further, the broadcaster noted that Mahama and Alan have similar personalities and that they already get along well as friends.
She gave the example of Mr. Mahama attending Alan’s mother-in-law’s funeral while the majority of NPP members were not present.
“Do you know when Alan’s mother-in-law recently died, a lot of NPP members didn’t attend the funeral? Mahama was there. Throughout the funeral, John Mahama was there.
“Look at Alan’s persona and John Mahama’s persona, it clicks. Alan Kyeremanten’s base is in the Ashanti region. NDC is seeking to increase its base in the Ashanti region massively,” Vim lady averred.
One of the reasons Alan Kyeremanten decided against running for NPP flagbearer was that he believed everything appeared to be planned to favor one of the candidates.
He lamented the intense intimidation and sabotage he saw at the party’s recently concluded Special Delegates Conference.
Meanwhile, according to Bernard Allotey Jacobs, a former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, Alan lacks the moral fiber to serve as a political party leader.
He believes Mr. Kyerematen has some positive traits, but not enough to run for president.
Mr. Kyerematen is no longer competing for the position of party flagbearer. He gave the party’s use of intimidation and communist inferior strategies to support one candidate as justifications for his choice.
Although some of his supporters have urged him to leave the NPP, he has not yet decided what his next course of action will be.
However, some political experts advised him against trying to become independent because it would be fatal to his political career.
