Alan Kyerematen, a former presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), lacks the moral fiber to serve as a political party leader, according to Bernard Allotey Jacobs, a former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He believes Mr. Kyerematen has some positive traits, but not enough to run for president.

Mr. Kyerematen is no longer competing for the position of party flagbearer. He gave the party’s use of intimidation and communist inferior strategies to support one candidate as justifications for his choice.

Although some of his supporters have urged him to leave the NPP, he has not yet decided what his next course of action will be.

However, some political experts advised him against trying to become independent because it would be fatal to his political career.

Allotey Jacobs, speaking in favor, asserted that Mr. Kyerematen won’t be successful as an independent candidate.

“Alan Kyerematen is too noble to lead a political party. He must attend the school of politics. He’s faded out of the system, the time people were aspiring him to be the leader is past. He couldn’t establish his team. He does not have what it take to be a politician. As a leader, you should take control of your team” he said on Accra-based Peace FM.

In a related news, the Kennedy Ohene Agyapong campaign team has dispelled rumors that the Assin Central Member of Parliament will withdraw from the flagbearer race.

This comes after Alan Kyeremanten declared he would no longer run to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a press release, Alan stated that he made the choice as a result of the incidents that occurred during the super delegates elections on August 26, 2023.

The outspoken politician will run in the NPP flagbearer elections, which are scheduled for November, according to his campaign team.
