Ghanaian Highlife and Afrobeats musician and dance, Mr. Drew has opened on social media trolls and how it affects the lives of musicians.
Social media cyber-bullying is one of the negative impact of the world of internet. On social media, anybody can wake up, pick up and his phone get some data and go online to attack the personality of celebrities without having enough evidence.
A lot of celebrities and even common people have all had their share of social media troll. Because of this, some people have highly advocated for governments to intervene and place huge ban on Netizens who derogate others.
Speaking in an interview with Naa Ashorkor on TV3, Mr. Drew said social media troll is sometimes frustration.
According to him, sometimes they wish to respond to internet trolls but are being forced to hold back because the situation may escalate.
He lamented in attempt to address fake news and other trolls, social media cyberbully may even misinterpret your words and attack you even the more.
“People hating on others always go through social media spreading stuff they don’t really know, making stories up and painting us black at the end of the day but we know what we are about. We know what we have and what we have not done. At the same time you are in the public eye and you can’t really go out and explain yourself to everybody,” he said.
“It is sometimes frustrating because you wish you could speak or respond, but due to the damage of what your response will be, you choose to sometimes keep it in ,” Mr. Drew bemoaned.

In connection with this, Rita Dominic, a Nollywood actress, has refuted rumors that she and her husband, Fidelis Anosike, are the parents of twins.
On Sunday, the rumors started to spread on social media, and some fans and celebrities wished the couple luck with their newborns.
Dominic, though, responded to the rumors on Twitter by posting a meme of a young girl rolling her eyes with the caption, “You know you’re lying.”
Additionally, she replied to some tweets on her account, saying, “Please stop lying to the public about me welcoming twins. I am not pregnant and I have not given birth.”
