Jane Slagsvol, Jimmy’s wife, shared his life for decades. They met during her spring break in Key West, Florida, in the early ’70s. She played a pivotal role in refining the Coral Reefer Band’s look, giving them a more professional image. Despite a brief separation in the early ’80s, they reunited in 1991 and remained inseparable.
Jane Slagsvol was the mother of their three children, the inspiration behind some of Jimmy’s songs, and a supportive partner throughout his career and the growth of the Margaritaville empire.
