President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, according to Yaw Buaben-Asamoa, spokesperson for the Alan Kyeremanten Campaign Team, has endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s candidacy.
Even though the President hasn’t publicly declared his support for Dr. Bawumia, he is well aware of it, the man claimed.
The former Member of Parliament for Adentan said in an interview with UTV in Accra that the Vice President is the establishment candidate in the race to be the NPP’s flagbearer.
“Nana Addo has endorsed Bawumia. What are you saying? We all know that he supports him. Bawumia is an establishment candidate. This is very clear, and we can all see it,” Buaben-Asamoa said.
However, he went on to say that despite all schemes and deceptions, Alan Kyerematen stands a better chance of winning the NPP congress on November 4, 2023.
“Those who voted are not the kingmakers. They were just handpicked, they are elites. They reign on the top. Even if they are part of the 2000, they represent 0.004%. Do the calculations,” Buaben-Asamoa added.

Moreover, just 0.004% of the total population who will vote on November 4 represented by those who participated in the delegate conference on August 26.
Former NPP deputy general secretary Nana Obiri-Boahen has declared that if Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is not chosen as the party’s flagbearer, he will leave politics.
“The Bawumia agenda and the Bawumia issue are non-negotiable. It will never happen that Bawumia will not win. No, it won’t happen anywhere.
“I will stop politics if he doesn’t win because I don’t just talk… so whatever I say, don’t challenge but just accept,” he said.
He predicted that the Vice President would win in at least 200 of the 275 constituencies, solidifying his position as the front-runner within the NPP, in an interview with Kwabena Mensah Abrompah on Radio Univers.
