Shatta Wale, the self-proclaimed king of dancehall, asserts that he is the only musician in Ghana to have demanded $100,000 per performance.
In an interview with Giovani Caleb that aired last night on Showbiz 360 on TV3, Shatta Wale made this statement. He claimed that he charged and received $100,000 in cash for performing three different shows each.
The performer disclosed that he received such a sum at the first Afronations festival, which was held in Ghana, and that he subsequently received another $120,000 for a performance at the ‘Wonderland’ venue.
In addition, he said that although he charged $100,000 for Cardi B’s event in Ghana, he didn’t show up to perform because the contract he agreed to and signed prior to the event was broken; as a result, he didn’t make it to the show.
The “GOG” album by Shatta Wale has been in production and is scheduled for release on October 17, 2022.
Despite all the controversy surrounding the album, many of the artist’s fans are eagerly awaiting the much-anticipated “GOG” album.

Shatta Wale recently admitted that his dream is to have money in his account, whereas other musicians’ dreams are to perform at prestigious venues like the O2 Arena.
He claims that he has achieved his goals in the music industry and no longer gives a damn about how people perceive him.
Shatta Wale stated on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in a Twitter Space with media personality Serwaa Amihere that he does not see the need to promote Ghana to the world when Ghanaians treat him disrespectfully and refer to him as a drug addict.
He claimed that his main objective was to amass a significant financial reserve of $1 billion in his account rather than just perform to sold-out crowds.
“You people call me a drug addict, why should I risk my life to fill a place for Ghanaians or the music industry? I am okay, I wanted to buy house, lands and investments, I am okay, so filling the O2 is not my priority, my priority is to keep a billion dollars in my account , that is where I am at right now. Nobody should disturb me about filling the 02 or my music
After I filled the Accra Sports stadium, Ghanaians should have given me a helping hand to fill the 02 because I am not from London to be able to fill up the 02.
