You might be wondering what specifically caused the close relationship between Shatta Wale and Sarkodie in the music industry to fall apart.
However, Shatta Wale has made it clear that the reason he keeps criticizing Sarkodie is related to the Glo mega-concert deal that took place on October 25, 2018.
Shatta Wale revealed that he and Serwaa Amihere had agreed to demand $150,000 for the Glo deal while speaking on a Twitter platform. Sarkodie ultimately decided to accept GHC120,000.
To make matters worse, the promoters offered to pay Sarkodie $131,000 rather than the $150,000 they had originally agreed upon because they believed Shatta Wale wasn’t worth the amount he requested.
When they were given less money, Shatta Wale thought they should boycott the show, but Sarkodie didn’t agree. Sarkodie performed at the event instead, keeping the $130,000.
Shatta Wale was upset by this event and vented his annoyance on Twitter, which ultimately caused their friendship to break up.
Shatta Wale has stated why he’s constantly attacking Sarkodie. According to him, Sark passed his back to collect GHC120,000 from a Glo deal after initially agreeing with him they will charge $150,000. pic.twitter.com/jzYwdJZamx
