    A communications team member of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Anim Piesie said opined that the Member of Parlament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is the best candidate for lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024 polls.

    Bernard Anim Piesie endorsed the MP for Assin Central, a NPP flagbearer hopeful during a panel discussion on Adekye Nsroma on UTV morning show.

    According to him, Kennedy Agyapong would be the right presidential candidate to contest in 2024 if only the NPP delegates would judge the presidential aspirants by their campaign messages.

    He further went on to say that the Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and President Nana Akufo-Addo have ruined the country with their bad leadership, because of that Dr. Bawumia doesn’t deserve to be elected by the party.

    Mr. Bernard Anim Piesie said even though the government says there Free SHS yet parents are still paying money. His comes after Kennedy Agyapong accused headmistresses and headmaster of Senior High Schools for defeating the purpose of Free SHS.

    Appearing on ‘Mpu Ne Mpu’ on UTV, the NPP Presidential aspirant claimed that he spend over GHC10,000 on his driver’s child who got admission to a Senior High school.

    Ken Agyapong said he was shocked after he saw the list of items requested by the headmistress on the prospectus the child is supposed to bring along.

    Ken Agyapong praised President Akufo-Addo for the Free SHS policy but noted that parents, headmistresses and headmaster must also take responsibility to lessen the burden on government.

    Kennedy Agyapong reacting to a question how to tackle the issue of corruption if he becomes the president of the country.

    In his submission, the NPP flagbearer aspirant said he would sack any appointed minister under his administration who goes to the office late without any prior notice.

    According to him, even if the sacked minister’s family, pastor or chief intervenes, he will never listen to any of them.
