Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has advised against drawing comparisons to rapper Sarkodie because doing so could boost Sarkodie’s ego.
Ola Michael objected to Shatta Wale receiving a diplomatic passport because of his “ill conduct” on social media during the United Showbiz show last weekend. This prompted Shatta to respond in this way.
Ola Michael could have compared him to Samini instead of Sarkodie, in Shatta Wale’s opinion, who he believes is on a similar level to him.
In defending his position, Shatta Wale pointed out that neither Sarkodie nor Stonebwoy were well-known during the time his music was gaining popularity with his hit song “Bandana.”
“The moment you compare me to Sarkodie then you make him feel big. When I talk to him, he wants to rub shoulders with me. Where I have been, you (Sarkodie) has never been there before. You people make it seem like Sarkodie is bigger than me. He can never be bigger than me in his life.

“Some parents have first born and second born. The second born can never be bigger than the firstborn. It can never happen. I am not saying Sarkodie isn’t successful but the mindset I have, he doesn’t have it. He is doing his own stuff,” he said while speaking in an interview on Empire FM.
Shatta Wale questioned why he is frequently the object of criticism when his coworkers are just as flawed as he is.
The dancehall artist claims that he has earned a reputation as the “king of controversies,” despite the fact that people like Stonebwoy and Sarkodie have been embroiled in scandals that are far more damaging.
