    New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary aspirant, Patricia Abena Narko Nartey has pledged to overthrow incumbent Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George in 2024 polls if given the nod.

    Currently the Parliamentary is comfortable occupied by Sam George but the NPP Parliamentary hopeful is confident of snatching the seat for NPP.

    Speaking to the media after meeting with some NPP faithfuls in the Ningo-Prampram constituency, Patricia Narko Nartey said she decided to run for the parliamentary primaries because she realized that the men who contested with Sam George in previous elections have failed.

    According to her, it is time for a woman to go to the war front and face Sam George come 2024 general elections and she believes victory will be hers.

    She outlined some qualities she possesses which makes her a unique candidate amongst her colleagues who are also contesting with her.

    Patricia Nartey made these bold statements after file her nomination form to contest for the NPP Parliamentary primaries.

    In a related news, following the viral reports carried out by the Ghanaian Newspaper Chronicles and some other media outlets that the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expelled their Women’s Organizer in the Ashanti Region, Kumawu constituency, the party has denied it.

    The NDC in a reaction to the viral news debunked the reports going viral and stated emphatically that they have not expelled their Women’s organizer in Kumawu.

    According to the party in an official statement released, no women’s organizer in Kumawu constituency has made such declaration and no such purported suspension has been issued.

    “I wish to by this statement debunk the publication and put on record that, no such declaration has made by our women’s organizer and no such purported suspension has been occasioned by any structure of the party,” part of the statement read.

    The NDC akso added that in the statement that the name Madam Akua Afriyie does not exist in their party records whether as a women’s organizer or party executive.
