Doris Boaduwaa, a forward for the Black Queens, has signed with Spartak Subotica in Serbia for the 2023–24 campaign, the club has announced.
The 20-year-old joins the team from Hasaacas Ladies of the Ghana Women’s Premier League on a one-year contract.
Doris Boaduwaa, who has been one of the Hasmal Ladies’ team’s best players in recent years, was crucial for Yusif Basigi’s team once more.
She made 58 total appearances for Hasaacas Ladies in all competitions, scoring 35 goals and dishing out 23 assists in the process.
Meanwhile, due to an injury, Ghanaian sprinter Benjamin Azamati will not compete in the upcoming 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
With 13 days until the start of the event, he confirmed this in a statement that was made public on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
The 4×00-meter relays and the 100-meter individual race were both scheduled to feature the national 100-meter record holder.
Athlete Edwin Gadayi from the area will take the place of the 25-year-old.
Chiamaka Nnadozie, who had put on an outstanding performance in goal for the African nation, was beaten by Chloe Kelly as he stepped up to take the crucial spot kick, setting off wild celebrations.
She quickly demonstrated her “class,” though, by rushing over to the distraught Nnadozie and shoving a camera out of the way as it attempted to capture the keeper’s anguish after her side’s heartbreaking exit.
Social media users quickly praised Kelly on Twitter, with one even writing that it made her “proud to be English.”
