Award-winning Ghanaian Gospel singer, Empress Gifty almost clashed with MzGee, host of United Showbiz over weekend.

MzGee questioned the Gospel musician’s seriousness in putting more efforts to promote her new songs than turning into a marriage counselor on TV.

Reacting to the question, Empress Gifty got angry and asked MzGee to rephrase her question because according to her, she pumps more money into her craft.

She explained that she doesn’t want to be like other artists who after they release a new song, go on a media tour to promote their songs and come back to sit idle.

She added that she prefers to promote her songs through her social media handles because of her large fan base.

Speaking about ho much she invests in her craft, Empress Gifty said she has no producer and she does everything herself.

According to her, she invests more in her craft than any other Gospel artist in the country. She pointed out that she also makes more money from shows she performs outside Ghana.

Meanwhile, Empress Gifty has become the target of a massive, ongoing trolling campaign on social media, where opinions are formed at the speed of light.

The gospel diva has come under fire for allegedly bleaching her skin after a recent video went viral on social media showed a marked improvement in her complexion.

The video of Empress Gifty’s appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz program last weekend reveals that she has shockingly changed from looking fair with radiant skin to looking very dark and nearly unrecognizable.

The singer has been accused by some social media users of bleaching her hair in an effort to meet Western beauty standards.

Skin tone, however, can alter for a number of reasons, including modifications to the lighting, cosmetics, or even camera filters.

It is critical to keep in mind how reality can be distorted by social media, and that pictures or videos may not always accurately depict someone’s appearance.
