Former France Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie Avé, has made passionate appeal to government should consider granting Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and other musicians a diplomatic passport.

According to Sophie Avé, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and King Promise deserve a diplomatic passport because they keeping putting Ghana on the globe with their creative arts better than the best Ambassadors could in a lifetime.

“Ghana, you should give Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Shatta Wale, R2Bees, and King Promise diplomatic passports: they put Ghana to the world better than the best Ambassador could in a lifetime,” Sophie Avé.

In August 2022, the French diplomat’s assignment in Ghana came to an end. She served in that capacity from September 2018 to August 2022.

She will resume her employment from France after being appointed on August 31, 2022, as Ambassador for Public Diplomacy in Africa by French President Emmanuel Macron.

While in Ghana, she became involved in the music industry by connecting Ghanaian musicians Gasmilla, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Becca, Fameye, Akwaboah, and Passi to French musicians Orti and Passi.

Additionally, she went ahead and planned the concerts PARIS IN ACCRA in November 2021 and ACCRA IN PARIS on the return leg in April 2022, making her influence on the Ghanaian music industry indelible.

relatively, according to Ghanaian artist Guru, Anne Sophie Avè, France’s ambassador to Ghana, has done more for Ghana’s creative arts industry than those who are responsible for making sure it thrives.

“The French ambassador has done more for our creative arts industry than the people being paid with our taxes to occupy that position,” he wrote in a tweet on Sunday, April 24.

Although the state authorities made sure that all the necessary paperwork was provided for the event to take place, he claims that their inadequate support for the creative arts cannot be justified.
