The public has become aware of a viral video in which people are vehemently opposed to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, vice president, taking office.
The unnamed pastor made some forceful declarations in the video, expressing his resolve to keep the vice president from becoming president as long as he is alive.
“Tell Bawumia that so long as I alive, I will never let him be president. Tell your Bawumia that me, as long as I alive and my god lives, he will never be president,” the pastor emphatically proclaimed in the video.
In the video, he questioned Vice President Bawumia’s wisdom and asked why he hadn’t used his influence to support President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Anyone who did not agree with him was challenged.
“Does the country belong to him? If he is wise he claims why didn’t he use it to help Akufo-Addo? You think there are no men in Ghana. If you are man challenge me. You think anybody can speak as I am doing now?” he continued.
Additionally, he criticized Bawumia’s posters for being widely displayed in different party offices, implying that the vice president has an excessive desire to become president and amass wealth.
“Because you don’t have what to eat, you put Bawumi’s picture everywhere. When you got every party, you will see his posters, is he the only human?”
“You want to become president amass wealth. When you had not yet become president what money did you have?”
The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is one of the aspirants in the flagbearship race of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Meanwhile, on behalf of the Rosa Foundation-Africa, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the Special Aide to HE John Dramani Mahama, gave a five-month supply of sanitary pads to 622 freshmen at the Tamale Girls Senior High School.
The foundation’s sanitary pad program is designed to help young schoolgirls maintain better menstrual hygiene and lower their risk of contracting an infection. According to research, some girls drop out of school because they can’t get menstrual products.
