John Kumah, the deputy minister of finance and the MP for Ejisu, has denied rumors that he has taken part in a dubious land scheme.

In a statement he released, he asserted that the accusations should be treated with the appropriate disdain because they are untrue and false.

In a viral video that has received a lot of attention, an older woman who is thought to be in her late 50s is seen screaming and referring to the deputy minister as a thief.

She alleges that Kumah purchased her land pretending it was for a government project but actually using it for his own business.

She fervently demands the return of her land, expressing her rage and vowing to make the Deputy Minister’s actions public because she is obviously in distress.

The viral video’s content, according to Kumah, is an effort to damage his reputation.

In order to build the asphaltic plant, John Kumah said he approached his family’s chief, Nana Kofi Agyei, for a plot of land. Nana Kofi Agyei gave it to me in front of other family members after the Aseda custom was observed, the MP explained.

He emphasized that the purpose of this gift was not to benefit himself personally but rather to better the community and the lives of its citizens through the creation of jobs and improved infrastructure.

He said the development of the asphaltic plant project, which has been completed to an impressive 90%, demonstrates my unwavering commitment to keeping the promises I made to my supporters during the campaign.

He urged the general public to ignore the video’s content and warned the media that they could face legal repercussions for the defamatory remarks they made.
