Kennedy Agyapong, a presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), claimed that Ghana’s political establishment had let down its citizens.

He asserts that Ghana’s political elite, for the most part, lacks vision, which is why the nation is unable to address its issues.

Ken Agyapong told NPP members in Jirapa, in the Upper West Region, that God must punish all of Ghana’s political leaders because they have failed despite the country’s resources.

“God must gather all the politicians in this country and lash all of us. Do you know why?

“I went ti the Volta Region, Krachi and this community is by the Volta River but they were complaining that they did not have water.

“You have the Volta here but you are going to dig bole holes. What is wrong with us?” he said in Twi.

Agyapong, the member of parliament for Assin Central, added that the reason why foreigners defraud the nation is due to the political leadership’s lack of vision.

Because he is the only person the people of Ghana trust, he pleaded with the NPP delegates in Jirapa to elect him as their flagbearer.

He continued by saying that he has the ability to transform the nation and that many disenchanted Ghanaians have vowed to support him for president if the NPP chooses him as its nominee.

    In a related news,

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s impact on the party and Ghana in general.

The outspoken politician claimed that it was impossible to overstate the Vice President’s influence on the NPP in recent years.

Kennedy Agyapong made it clear in a speech to party members in the Upper West Region that his recent remarks about a strategist weren’t directed at Dr. Bawumia.
