Yaw Tog sees potential in the industry now that the Ministry of Interior is in charge of issuing licenses for cannabis cultivation.
The “Sore Hitmaker” said in a BRYT TV interview that he would think about getting a license and investing in the industry if he had the money and thought it was a good opportunity.
He acknowledged that it was a business decision and said that he would investigate this option if the situation allowed.
Yaw Tog has taken the initiative to diversify his holdings and look for opportunities outside of the music industry.
The rapper revealed on Tv3 New Day that he is constructing a sizable pig farm in Kumasi as part of his current pig farming endeavors.
Yaw Tog has made no secret of his desire to pursue entrepreneurship and the expansion of his many businesses, but he has also been outspoken about his decision to forgo a college education.
The 20-year-old Kumasi high school graduate explained that he has no immediate plans to attend college in an interview with Hello FM that he believes his music career and other endeavors will give him the means to support himself in life.
However, some sections of the Ghanaian public objected to his position on education. Despite the criticism, Yaw Tog is adamant about pursuing his interests and broadening his horizons in the business world, demonstrating his determination to forge a successful career for himself outside of the conventional academic path.
Earlier this month, the Narcotics Control Commission Bill, 2023 was approved by Parliament.
This means that the Ministry of Interior is required to grant licenses for the cultivation of cannabis in order to make it possible to use this plant for a variety of advantageous purposes.
