The culprit in viral video of assault at Adisadel College has been suspended by the school’s management, pending further investigation.
Previously, InsightNewsgh.com reported that the Ghana Education Service (GES) has denounced a different person’s assault on an Adisadel College student.
In a disturbing video that was uploaded online, a student is seen holding the victim’s arms and striking him against a metal bed, causing the victim’s right eye to bleed profusely.
Education Services in Ghana Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the company’s head of public relations, called the incident a “barbaric act of violence” and reaffirmed that GES is taking legal action “committed to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all students across the country.”

VIRAL VIDEO OF VIOLENCE INVOLVING STUDENTS OF ADISADEL COLLEGE
The attention of the Management of Ghana Education Service has been drawn to a disturbing video of assault involving two students of Adisadel College being circulated on social media.
Management is deeply concerned and condemns this barbaric act of violence in our schools. We applaud the school authorities for taking swift action to suspend the culprit pending further investigation.
Management has directed the Regional Director of Education to liaise with the school authorities and the relevant law enforcement agency to investigate for appropriate action.
Ghana Education Service assures the general public that we are taking this matter very seriously and are committed to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all students across the country.

In other news, an increase in the monthly stipend for National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel has been announced by the NSS.
According to a statement from the Corporate Affairs Directorate of the Scheme, the government has approved raising the allowance from Ghana cedi 559.04 to Ghana cedi 715.57 starting in January 2023.
In January 2017, the NSS allowance was last changed from GHS 350.00 to GHS 559 04.
