Yaw Tog has finally addressed his dispute with the Asaaka Boys after years, months, and weeks of controversy and rumors.

The young rapper thanks to his massive hit song “Sore,” which also featured O’kenneth, City Boy, Reggie, and Jay Bahd of the Asaaka Boys fame. With its Ghanaian drill music, the music group was at that time becoming a powerful force.

Yaw Tog was regarded as a group member, but following his breakthrough, he decided to pursue a solo career, which surprised many people as to why he would leave the Asaaka Boys.

His actions sparked debate and rumors that led to him trading jabs with Jay Bahd and other Asaaka group members on social media and in some songs.

Yaw Tog has finally spoken out about his feud with the band, revealing that it was caused by a poor contract he was given by the Asaaka Boys’ managers.

Yaw Tog believed the offer to be extremely poor because, had he accepted it to join the group, he would not have been earning money for himself.

“The contract wasn’t going straight, it was kind of like just working, nothing (in return). So my manager was like we can’t sign this deal,” In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the rapper disclosed.

Meanwhile, Yaw Tog from Ghana recently discussed Ghanaians’ priorities, saying they are more concerned with his education than his mental health.

The 20-year-old musician was asked about his intentions to go back to school during an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3 New Day.

The rapper said, “I’m going to school. They don’t even care about my health.”

He continued by saying that instead of just asking him how he was doing, people now repeatedly ask him about his education.

The young rapper openly admitted that Ghanaians don’t seem to care about his general well-being or the difficulties he faces. Although he acknowledged having episodes of depression, he gave his team and management credit for aiding him in getting through those trying times.

Yaw Tog blamed his depression on pressure he experiences as a young person and overthinking.

He made clear that he wanted to avoid needless stress and give his mental health and personal development top priority.
