Rapper Yaw Tog from Ghana recently discussed Ghanaians’ priorities, saying they are more concerned with his education than his mental health.

The 20-year-old musician was asked about his intentions to go back to school during an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3 New Day.

Yaw Tog, whose real name is Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, responded by expressing his displeasure and saying, “Everywhere I go, people ask when I’m going to school. They don’t even care about my health.”

He continued by saying that instead of just asking him how he was doing, people now repeatedly ask him about his education.

The young rapper openly admitted that Ghanaians don’t seem to care about his general well-being or the difficulties he faces. Although he acknowledged having episodes of depression, he gave his team and management credit for aiding him in getting through those trying times.

Yaw Tog blamed his depression on pressure he experiences as a young person and overthinking.

He made clear that he wanted to avoid needless stress and give his mental health and personal development top priority.

Yaw Tog admitted that his experience in the music industry had made him more resilient and taught him important lessons. He has acquired a thick skin despite facing criticism and hostility, allowing him to persevere and advance as an artist.

In other news, seasoned Nollywood actress Cynthia Okereke was officially declared dead on July 11, 2023.

This occurred a year after the actress and her coworker Clemson Cormel were freed from the kidnappers’ den.

Joseph Okechukwu, a colleague in the entertainment business, broke the sad news. The filmmaker claimed that he was about to purchase Cynthia Okereke’s airline ticket to travel to America when she tragically passed away on Tuesday night.

He wrote, “REST IN PEACE, Nwanyi oma. I’m shattered beyond words. The fact that I was about to pay for your flight ticket to come finish what we started only to here you went to be with Lord just last night is one of the toughest things I’ve had to deal with in recent times.”
