A US court has rejected Mona Faiz Montrage, also known as Hajia4Reall’s request for bail.
A musician and socialite from Ghana is charged with running a $2 million fraud romance scam.
The Ghanaian socialite and musician is accused of several offenses in the US, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, receiving stolen property, conspiracy to launder money, and receiving stolen property.
She had asked the court to loosen the terms of her bail, but the US court turned down her application. This development calls into question her plans to visit Ghana again in July.
Accusations of defrauding over $2 million led to Hajia4Real’s repatriation from the UK to the US.
She could potentially receive a 20-year prison sentence, according to the prosecution, if she is found guilty of the most serious charge.
Meanwhile, on her birthday, Hajia 4Reall shared her excitement about visiting Ghana in July during an Instagram live session.
She spoke with her publicist, GH Hyper, about it, and he suggested she be the special guest at the opening of his lounge.
After being extradited from the United Kingdom to the United States for her alleged involvement in a $2 million romance scam that preyed on older, single Americans, Hajia4Reall was recently given a $500,000 bail.
GH Hyper expressed his disappointment that Hajia4Reall was unable to attend the VGMA red carpet event during their conversation. Hajia4Reall, on the other hand, remained upbeat and emphasized that everything happens for a reason and that there is hope as long as there is life.
The conversation then turned to when they would meet. GH Hajia4Reall responded that she might be in Ghana by the time Hyper mentioned that he might be traveling to America in July. She expressed her conviction that, with God, nothing is out of the question.
Hajia4Reall was advised to travel to Ghana to attend the opening of his lounge by GH Hyper, who had previously told her that she would be doing so.
