James Lutterodt, a contestant who represented Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) in the competition’s 2021 finals, passed away unexpectedly, and his sudden passing has been mourned by former president, John Dramani Mahama.

James Lutterodt, a contestant from Keta SHS who competed in the 2021 NSMQ, passed away.

While this is happening, sympathies are being shared on social media. The news of James’ passing leaves them in a state of shock.

Commiserating with the family of KETASCO 2021 NSMQ star, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer recalled James’ and his colleagues sterling performance during the 2021 NSMQ even though they lost to Prempeh College in the end.

Mahama continued that it was joy to watch the trio pulling out a stunning performance, making their school proud.

The former president consoled and encourage James’ family to strong while describing the passing of the young boy as ‘heartbreaking.’

The first Volta-Oti team to compete in the annual competition’s finals is said to have perished as a result of food poisoning, according to reports, but the NSMQ overcame all odds to establish KETASCO as one of the most successful teams at the recently concluded 2021 NSMQ.

James Lutterodt, like his colleague Francisca Lamini, who has begun her pre-med program at Harvard University in the US, was said to be planning to leave the country to pursue his studies at Howard University.

We are deeply saddened to learn of James Lutterodt’s passing, it was stated in a tweet. He made his school and region proud by representing #NSMQ2021 Keta SHTS as the first Volta Region school to compete in the NSMQ final.

However, his family has not yet made the tragic announcement or the cause of death public.

Lutterodt attended the University of Ghana, Legon, studying computer science.

Francisca Lamini, James Lutterodt, and Bright Senyo Godzo of Keta SHTS, who made history as the first school from the Volta Region to reach the NSMQ final, are continuing to make an impression with the next step in their post-high school lives.

Francisca Lamini traveled to Harvard College to study Biological Science with the goal of pursuing medical school.

James is pursuing a degree in Computer Science at the University of Ghana, Legon, while Bright has enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at KNUST.
