Baba Rahman, a defender for the Black Stars, has reportedly ended his relationship with English Premier League team Chelsea, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The popular transfer news expert claims that the Ghanaian will play for Greek club PAOK in 2023–2024.

Romano announced on social media that the former Reading player would sign a two-year deal with the top-flight club in Greece.

“It’s now over for Abdul Rahman Baba at Chelsea. Contract set to be terminated on mutual agreement and he’s joining Greek side PAOK. #CFC PAOK will sign Baba as free agent on two year deal until 2025”.

Baba Rahman joined Chelsea in 2015 but, after spending several seasons on loan, has never quite managed to earn a spot in the first team.

In the 2022–2023 season, Reading, his last club, was demoted from the English Championship.

Reading will play in the third tier for the first time in 21 years as a result of their relegation. They last competed in the then-named Division Two during the 2001–2002 season.

Following a prior violation of the EFL’s profitability and sustainability rules, Reading was immediately docked six points for exceeding agreed-upon budgetary restrictions.

The penalty is related to the club’s failure to adhere to the terms of a business plan adopted after a violation of the sustainability and profit limits in 2021.

Six points were initially assessed as a penalty for the initial violation, and another six points were suspended until the start of the current season.

Meanwhile, according to reports emerging from UK, Mason Mount is undergoing a medical at Manchester United Carrington Training Complex after the Red Devils agreed a fee with Chelsea few days ago.

Previously, we reported that United agreed to pay an initial fee of £55 million plus $5 million in challenging add-ons despite having had a third offer worth £55 million rejected last week.

The clubs are about to finish up the paperwork, and Mount was given permission to complete a medical and finalize personal terms.
