Joseph Bediako, the Movement for Truth and Accountability’s convener, has threatened to leave the country if the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) wins 47% of the vote in the 2024 elections.

He claims that the Ghanaian people have already rejected the NPP and that this rejection will be evident in the election results in 2024.

“Even if you don’t use what happened in Assin North as a yardstick, everyone who has followed politics will know that the NPP has been rejected by the Ghanaian people. Next year I will prophesy that if the NPP is able to garner 47% of the votes, I will be in exile for two years. Even if they use violence, they cannot get 47% during that election.

The people of Ghana have rejected the NPP. The political party is finished. They don’t regard anyone outside the political party. They are my friends and I know them. They are arrogant and that will even affect them more.” he said.

According to InsightNewgh.com-monitored Accra-based Hot FM’s Joseph Bediako, he predicted that the NPP would cry after the Assin North election, and the people did indeed show the NPP where the real power is.

Relatively, former National Democratic Congress (NDC) deputy national communications officer Kweku Boahen has made disparaging remarks about President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, claiming that if divine punishment for dishonesty still occurred as it did in the past, the President would have been killed for his repeated lies.

The president, according to Kweku Boahen, is only regurgitating speeches that have been written by his handlers.

His remarks come after Akufo-Addo recently expressed confidence in reviving the nation’s economy during Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations, saying, “We’re working to revivify the economy, and Inshallah, we shall do so.”

Speaking in a panel discussion on UTV’s Adekye Nsroma on June 29, 2023, Boahen exclaimed, “Those times that God used to kill people, if we were in those days, Akufo-Addo would have been struck dead, he doesn’t speak the truth.
