Following the damning claims he made about him in her new book, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” rapper Sarkodie has retaliated angrily.
In her memoir, which was published at Peduase Lodge on Sunday, June 19, 2023, the actress, producer, and author disclosed that, following a brief relationship with Sarkodie in 2010, she had an abortion.
She claims that she decided to have the abortion as a result of Sarkodie’s refusal to assume parental duties.
On pages 88–95 of Chapter 8 of her new book, Yvonne Nelson describes the incident. She claims that Sarkodie and his manager at the time went with her to a clinic in Mamprobi to have the fetus removed after an unsuccessful attempt with pills suggested by a friend.
However, Sarkodie, the award-winning rapper who regularly spits fire and venom at the microphone in response to his critics, has shared his side of the scandalous story that was published by Yvonne Nelson after a highly anticipated week for a response.
In a new song he wrote to address the issue, the rapper vehemently explained how Yvonne Nelson always pretended to be a cool girl while secretly having sex with various men, which led to a pregnancy he believes was not his.
He continues by saying that even though he was not unprepared to be a father, he nevertheless urged Yvonne Nelson to continue the pregnancy. But she turned down the suggestion because she was prioritizing her education at the University at the time.
He claimed that after that, he invited her to see his doctor for medical care, but she declined, saying that her friend had already given her the name of a trustworthy physician and that he had never forced her to have an abortion.
Sarkodie claimed he had reason to believe that Yvonne Nelson was not pregnant and that she did not, in fact, have the alleged abortion.
