Investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has asked host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV, Paul Adom-Otchere to give the true detail to his viewers on how he left Multimedia Group of Companies – owners of Joy FM, Adom FM, among others.
According to Manasseh, the broadcaster has been misleading his viewers about his exit from Multimedia.
This comes after the company in a statement clarified that, “Manasseh was not sacked from The Multimedia Group. He resigned of his own accord at the end of July 2019 after serving the necessary notice and going through all exit protocols per company policy”.
In a Facebook post, the former employee of the Multimedia Group said, “Dear Paul Adom Otchere, You have consistently told your viewers that I was sacked from The Multimedia Group for unethical journalism. Here is a media release from The Multimedia Group in response to your lies. It is not meant for you. It is meant for your viewers who believe what you repeat all the time.”

You have consistently told your viewers that I was sacked from The Multimedia Group for unethical journalism.
Here is a media release from The Multimedia Group in response to your lies. It is not meant for you. It is meant for your viewers who believe what you repeat all the time.
I say it is not for you because, with a pinch of elementary intelligence, any sane human being would realise that The Multimedia Group would not dismiss a journalist for unethical works and still work closely with him, publishing his freelance stories and his works as the leader of The Fourth Estate.
I know you’re intelligent enough to know this. And I know you know the truth because everybody in The Multimedia Group, from the CEO to the cleaner, knew that I resigned but still have a cordial working relationship with The Multimedia Group, a relationship so cordial that if I wanted to go back there to work, I don’t believe there would be a hindrance. You know this so this letter is not meant for you.
Kindly share it with your audience who may not have the benefit of knowing what you know. And after sharing this letter with them, you may proceed to tell them every day that I was dismissed.
You have a job to do and, if constantly lying about me is what will put food on your table, I’m kind enough to permit you to continue.
I know deep down my heart that you don’t hate me. We don’t have any personal issues or disagreements. You started your attacks and editorials on me in 2017 when my investigation resulted in the cancellation of a $74MILLION fraudulent contract awarded to Jospong. As an employee and long time defender of Jospong, I don’t expect you to praise me.
So keep up your “good work” for Elder Agyepong, but kindly let your audience see this letter.
