A tragedy has struck the Ghanaian entertainment sector with the death of Cynthia Quarcoo Esq., a well-known Ghanaian attorney who has represented a number of Ghanaian performers.

A controversial lawyer named Cynthia Quarcoo Esq. has appeared on numerous occasions as a panelist on Ghanaian TV and radio stations.

Some prominent figures in Ghanaian showbiz have reportedly expressed their shock and grief over Cynthia Quarcoo’s passing.

Serwaa Amihere, a TV host, posted “Oh oh oh! Rapper Edem added, “BIG LOSS IT IS WELL,” concluding, “Life!”

Although the cause of Cynthia Quarcoo’s death has not yet been made public, reports compiled by InsightNewsgh.com indicate that she had been ill for some time.

The renowned attorney was the owner of the Accra-based boutique law firm CQ Legal. Africa 1 Media, a talent management and public relations company that has worked with several Ghanaian musicians, was founded by Cynthia Quarcoo as well.

Cynthia Quarcoo, known for representing Sarkodie, also worked pro bono for the Musicians Union of Ghana as a legal advisor for two years. Rocky Dawuni, Stonebwoy, Edem, Stephanie Benson, Reggie Rockstone, Bisa Kdei, and Samini are a few more names on her client list.

Cynthia is credited with being the first attorney in Ghana to create a practice area specifically for entertainment, sports, and media. She still represents athletes and artists in Ghana.

The now-deceased attorney served as co-counsel for the Ministry of Finance on the successful 2021 USD 3 billion Government of Ghana (GOG) Sovereign Bond in addition to his work in the entertainment and sports industries.

In addition, she is known to have served as co-counsel for the Ministry of Finance during the successful 2020 sale of the Government of Ghana (GOG) Sovereign Bond, valued at USD 3 billion.

Sarkodie recently shared a black photo on his Instagram Stories as a tribute to Cynthia.

The rapper left his post without a caption, but it is clear that the black image was intended to convey a subliminal message of bad news.
