The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has declared that the opposition party will triumph in the general elections of 2024.

He claimed that the Assin North by-election would mark the beginning of victory.

He urged the populace to keep Mr. James Gyakye Quayson as their Member of Parliament in order to speed up development, claiming that the party’s impending victory would be evidence of the government’s appalling economic performance.

He urged the populace not to be duped by NPP’s promises and vote-buying ploys at a rally to canvass votes for the party in Assin-Bereku.

“Our victory in 2024 starts from here and is ordained by God. I’m of a strong belief that God will make NDC victorious in this by-election.

“God has given the authority to you the people of Assin North to end the economic impunity and leadership paralysis exhibited by the government,” he stated.

In order to reduce the NDC’s minority in parliament, Mr. Quayson was the target of vile political propaganda, according to Mr. Mahama, but the NDC was unconcerned because he could not be imprisoned while Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM 1, the CEO of the now-defunct gold dealership firm Menzgold, was free to go about his business.

The National Communication Director, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, claimed that the government’s disastrous performance in agriculture was yet another example of how it had broken a promise made to the electorate during the campaign.

He added that the situation was getting worse and that the NPP had pledged to modernize the industry in order to significantly raise the standard of living for farmers.

In a related news, if delegates of the New Patriotic Party choose him to lead, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has declared that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) won’t have a chance in the general elections of 2024.

He claimed that the NDC is wary of him because he stands a good chance of defeating both John Dramani Mahama and them in the election.
