Asamoah Gyan, a legend of Ghana, has officially hanged his boot from playing active football.
Asamoah Gyan popularly known as BabyJet took to his official Twitter page to announce that he is retiring from active football.
Gyan noted that even though he is retiring from active football, he will continue to encourage and push young players through his BABYJET U16 AFRICAN TOURNAMENT together with his management team.
“I want to take this great opportunity, a stage that is difficult in every footballer’s career, a moment all footballers do not wish, but when nature dawns, that thin voice will keep echoing in the ears…
IT IS TIME… that voice has been clear in my ears, and I have succumbed to it, IT IS TIME. IT IS TIME TO HANG THE JERSEY AND THE BOOT IN GLORY as I retire officially from active football, but then again I am minded by views shared by great business men and sporting gurus, “YOU DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVE,” part of the statement read.
“Will never leave my love “ ❤️⚽️ @ghanafaofficial @CAF_Online @FIFAWorldCup @FIFAcom @AnimSammy @PrinxRandy pic.twitter.com/IX05ZTywlw
