Celebrated media personality and businesswoman Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay,has revealed why she has never won Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Award before.
Throughout Delay’s media career, she has so many awards but yet to win a RTP award, meanwhile, the like McBrown, Abeiku Santana, Vim Lady, Bernard Alve of Citi FM have all won this prestigious award.
In a recent video, during her regular programme on Wontumi FM, a caller asked Delay why she has never been nominated or won RTP award before.
Responding to the question, she said the organizer of the RTP award has a personal issue with her that is why she been blacklisted from being nominated.
The presenter also added that even though her Delay Show is one of the most watched entertainment show both on Youtube and on TV yet all her efforts have been overlooked by the CEO of the RTP awards.
“People watch Delay Show more than other show in Ghana and the Youtube numbers can attest to this, but they don’t nominated Delay. But I win other award schemes,” she said.
According to her, they leave her out of the RTP awards because of hatred and bitterness but despite all that they are doing she keeps going higher.
Back in 2020, speaking on the same issue, the celebrated presenter said a lot of them have tagged her as the daughter of Satan, hence they wouldn’t want to appreciate her efforts in the entertainment industry.
Talking on her show, she said: There is no talk show like my show. People ask why I don’t win awards with my show or even get nominations.
All I tell them is that they have blacklisted me because some say I am the daughter of the Devil, she said.
Meanwhile, she who felt unperturbed by the happening, likened her situation to that of Jesus Christ of Nazareth in the Bible, who was crucified on the cross in spite of all the miracles he performed.
