In the Ashanti Region, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is pleading with the administration to focus on the Suame Interchange Project’s construction.

The project has not yet started, even though President Akufo-Addo turned the first sod in October 2022.

Five overpasses will be built as part of the four-tier interchange project, which will be built in two phases over the course of thirty months. The Kumasi-Offinso Road will also be widened.

Residents in Kumasi were asked last week by a few media figures to remove overgrown weeds from a roundabout that was partially cordoned off.

The completion of the Suame Interchange Project, according to regional NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, will have a significant impact on the party’s electoral prospects in the Ashanti Region.

“The Bible says we should pray without ceasing therefore we pray against any obstacle against the commencement of the Suame Interchange, what the people of Ashanti Region are saying is that if President Akufo-Addo makes an effort to even begin the project, they will vote for NPP in the upcoming elections.”

“So the people of Ashanti region are looking for to the commencement of the project before 2024 and we all are all praying for the President,” he said.

The party held a press conference to commemorate the first year of the current NPP leadership.

Chairman Wontumi is confident of breaking the eight, praising the party’s victory in Kumawu as the administration’s most important accomplishment.

Relatively, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has brashly declared that he will lead the NPP to break the “8” and move forward to make Ghana a prosperous country.

As a result, he has urged NPP delegates to choose him as the party’s flagbearer.
