Numerous Teshie citizens have taken to the streets to voice their displeasure with the poor state of their roads.
The Ledzokuku Krowor constituency’s worried citizens gathered to protest the state of affairs in a show of frustration.
The town’s roads have gotten very bad, and this is now a big problem that worries commuters who are negatively impacted in their daily lives.
The irate citizens were seen in large groups on Tuesday morning, wearing red clothing, holding signs, and singing war songs.
The messages on the placards include “Our roads look like galamsey sites,” “Potholes endanger our lives,” and “Our women are experiencing miscarriages,” “Bad roads, our Sidechicks don’t visit us anymore” among others.
The “Why Teshie” M33ba Teshie demonstration, which began at the Adjorman Roundabout, is anticipated to conclude at Teshie-Maamli.
Tahiru Alhassan, an assemblyman from Teshie-Nungua Estate South, claims that numerous attempts to persuade the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly to fix the road have failed.
Teshie Estate Road, Zongo-Junction Road, Adom to Grader Estate Road, Kuala Street, Agbleza Road, and Maate Tsulu Road are a few of the well-known roads that they claim are in terrible condition.
