Bishop Agyinsare’s recent comments on the small town of Nogokpo in the Volta Region has become a big issue which has attracted a lot of mixed reactions from some section Ghanaians on social media.
Previously, InsightNewsgh.com reported on a viral video in which Bishop Agyinasare claimed Nogokpo is a ‘demonic headquarters.’
The popular preacher revealed this following a close call with tragedy that occurred at Nogokpo.
He claimed that he and his pastors attended a crusade in Aflao and had to travel through Nogokpo to reach the next town.
He added that it happened after they had preached about witchcraft and destroyed their works on the second night of the crusade at Aflao.
Bishop Agyinasare claimed that when they arrived at Nogokpo, the tyres under the four-wheel drive they were using came out under the car.
In a rebuttal, the leaders of the shrine responded with an official statement calling on the preacher to focus on promoting his religion rather than destroying theirs.
Bishop Agayinasare in a long statement apologized and explained into details about his comments on Nogokpo.
In his address, he revealed his wife is an Ewe and one of his children bears an Ewe name, adding that he didn’t mean to denigrate the people of Nogokpo.
During a panel discussion on Best Entertainment Show with Halifax Ansah-Addo on Okay FM, Prophet Kumchacha defended the popular televangelist and warned critics to desist from attacking the man of God.
According to Kumchaha, Bishop Agyinsare has gained a good reputation through his ministry and is known all over the world, so critics should be careful of what they say about him.
Backing his opinion with a verse from Jeremiah in the Bible, he urged critics to never attack Bishop Charles Agyinasare’s personality because they could attract a curse.
He further explained that pastors are also humans and can sometimes make mistakes just like any ordinary person.
However, people should never take advantage of the weakness of pastors to attack them because they do so at the expense of their own lives.
