Three different managers have led the Blues this season, with Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel being fired in September 2022.

Frank Lampard returned to Stamford Bridge as the interim manager after Graham Potter’s 31-game reign.

Since then, a number of candidates have been mentioned in connection with the most prestigious Premier League position, but according to The Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino has agreed to assume control.

The former head coach of Southampton and Tottenham is currently unemployed after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the conclusion of the 2021–22 season.

Pochettino has a wealth of experience in the English Premier League and led Spurs to the Champions League final in 2019, but he will be taking over a Chelsea team that has struggled mightily this season.

Despite spending about £600 million ($741 million) over the past two transfer windows, they will undoubtedly place in the bottom half of the standings.

Sunday’s match against Newcastle will mark Lampard’s final game in charge of Chelsea. Argentine tactician Pochettino will then take over as manager as Chelsea prepares for the summer transfer window and another rebuilding project.

Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala’s 89th-minute goal gave Bayern Munich a 2-1 victory at Cologne on Saturday, snatching the championship from Borussia Dortmund and giving them their 11th straight Bundesliga title.

The tightest league race in years saw Bayern Munich overtake Dortmund after they stumbled to a 2-2 draw against Mainz 05 in the season’s final match. Dortmund had entered the game in first place.
