Deborah Seyram Adablah was seen in a viral video arguing with the Ghana Police who went to the Law Court Complex to seize her car after the High Court in Accra ordered the Registrar of the Court to do so.

She resisted arrest because she believed the order had 14 days to take effect and did not understand why the police were there to seize the car only one day after the court’s decision.

Seyram Adablah demanded to know what her offense was, and the police officers on the scene were heard telling her that she was being detained for obstructing a court order.

After the policeman informed her that she would be transferred to Regional Police Headquarters in Accra, she continued to argue with them, saying she did not understand why she should be taken to a police station outside of her legal jurisdiction, Labadi.

Earlier on InsightNewsgh.com reported that the car at the center of the argument, which the former continues to drive, will stay in the custody of the court’s registry until the case between Deborah Seyram Adablah and Ernest Nimako is finally decided.

The case involves, among other things, allegations of sexual harassment, and it was brought by the former.

The Law Court Complex Registrar has been directed by the High Court in Accra to take custody of the disputed vehicle.

According to starrfm.com.gh, the Court (General Jurisdiction), presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, ruled on a request made by Mr. Nimako on May 16 and ordered that the disputed vehicle be given to the High Court Registrar for preservation.

According to the news website, the court also mandated that Mr. Nimako, the Defendant (Applicant), submit all documents pertaining to the said vehicle to the Registrar.

According to reports, the plaintiff drove the disputed vehicle to court, but due to a court order, she was required to turn it over to the registrar.
