After witnessing Mr. Alan Kyerematen campaign in the Kumawu constituency, a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) switched allegiances to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Rebecca Akua Afriyie, an NDC member, claims that she has long admired Alan and that she even named a child after him.

She claimed that meeting Alan in person had been her lifelong goal and that seeing him in Kumawu today had convinced her to join the NPP.

Since her love for Alan is unending, she admonished the NPP to bring him along in 2024 if they truly needed her support.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen arrived in Kumawu Friday afternoon to a large crowd of NPP supporters who believe that a win for Yaw Ernest Anim is also a win for Alan and the late MP Philip Basoa.

Mr. Kyerematen visited Banko, a neighborhood in the district, and he actively lobbied for the NPP candidate there.

Since the former Trades and Industry minister entered the constituency, the NPP’s morale has increased beyond all recognition, and the party is now poised for victory on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

The people of Kumawu have a natural love for the former Trades and Industry minister.

Before he formally announced that he would take part in the NPP upcoming presidential primary elections, a video of a convoy of pickup trucks carrying Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s (VP) picture went viral on social media.

The video shows the MG T60 pickup trucks driving through the streets of the nation’s capital while sporting Dr. Bawumia’s campaign logo.

On the internet, the video has elicited a range of responses, with some of the vice president’s supporters expressing enthusiasm over his willingness to fight for power and others harshly criticizing the vice president for obtaining vehicles for his campaign despite the country’s current economic challenges.

Dr. Bawumia, the vice president, is a serious candidate for the NPP’s flagbearer position, competing against others like Kennedy Agyapong, Alan Kyerematen, Afriyie Akoto, and Kwabena Agyapong.
