The car at the center of the argument, which the former continues to drive, will stay in the custody of the court’s registry until the case between Deborah Seyram Adablah and Ernest Nimako is finally decided.

The case involves, among other things, allegations of sexual harassment, and it was brought by the former.

The Law Court Complex Registrar has been directed by the High Court in Accra to take custody of the disputed vehicle.

According to starrfm.com.gh, the Court (General Jurisdiction), presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, ruled on a request made by Mr. Nimako on May 16 and ordered that the disputed vehicle be given to the High Court Registrar for preservation.

According to the news website, the court also mandated that Mr. Nimako, the Defendant (Applicant), submit all documents pertaining to the said vehicle to the Registrar.

Deborah Seyram Adablah, a former member of the National Service who worked at a First National Bank branch, filed a lawsuit against Ernest Nimako, the bank’s then chief financial officer, alleging, among other things, that the defendant harassed her sexually while she was a member of the service and had also taken back a Honda Civic worth GH120,000 with the registration number GC 7899- 21 I, which, in violation of their agreement, he purchased for her after registering it in his name.

According to reports, the plaintiff drove the disputed vehicle to court, but due to a court order, she was required to turn it over to the registrar.

The plaintiff and defendant were also told by the court to stop commenting on the case across all platforms until a decision was reached.

“Both parties are prohibited from posting any videos, pictures and materials on social media and traditional media which has the tendency to prejudice the matter before the court until the final determination of the case,” the court ruled, as quoted by starrfm.com.gh.

The decision came as a result of a motion filed by Mr. Nimako’s attorneys asking the court to enjoin Adablah from continuously posting about him on TikTok, Instagram, and other social media sites.
