Entertainment critic Arnold Asamoah Baidoo and Gospel musician Broda Sammy nearly exchanged blows during UTV Showbiz edition over the weekend.
It was a no surprise to many that there would be vawulence when UTV released the flyer with Prophet Nigel Gaisie and Bro Sammy as the main invited guests and with Bulldog, A Plus, Mr. Logic and Arnold as pundits.
Broda Sammy appeared as of one the guests on United Showbiz on UTV last Saturday to redeem his image after Arnold Asamoah Baidoo roasted him on the show a week ago.
Prevoiusly, on the same show, Broda Sammy came under fire from entertainment critic Arnold Asamoah Baidoo for his inappropriate publicity stunts to promote his upcoming gospel event.
According to entertainment expert Arnold, such a stunt is not Christlike and should not be amused.
Arnold Asamoah advised the gospel performer to concentrate on his talent.
“His foolishness is getting too much and he needs to be cautioned, Ghanaians have endorsed his excess foolishness and it is getting out of hand.”
Responding to Arnold’s criticisms, Sammy said he was disappointed to see Arnold sit on national TV and insulting him and described the act as ‘foolishness.’
According to Sammy, the best thing Arnold should have done after the viral video of the lady twerking to invite people to church did not sit well with him was to call him and talk to him in private but for him to sit on national TV and insult him then they are all ‘fools.’
The Gospel singer revealed that his wife and children were also affected by the insults of Arnold, adding that his wife was in tears when she also saw the video of Arnold insults on UTV.
However, Arnold refused to retract and apologize to Broda Sammy about his earlier statements and insults on him.
“I am standing by my positioning with all my chest, strength and vigor,” Arnold maintained.
According to Arnold, he didn’t insult Bro Sammy but he was criticizing the act in which he was portraying the Gospel.
His comments even added more pepper to Broda Sammy’s anger who replied him back instantly. At this point the heat was getting hotter that MzGee, the host and other panelist had to step him and cool them down.
Reacting to their altercation on TV, A Plus, Bulldog, Mr. Logic and Prophet Nigel all called on Arnold to apologize to Bro. Sammy since his insulted has affected his family especially the singer’s wife so much.
But hardcore Arnold said he’ll never apologize today or tomorrow.
