Expelled from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) is the student who was seen in a viral video spanking another student.
In a video posted online earlier this month, Mabel Teye-Nomo was seen at the UPSA Hostel cursing at the much younger victim and striking her with a cane.
The senior, according to online commenters, was punishing the victim for spreading untrue information about her.
She is seen in another video beating another child’s palm in a dorm room.
The school formed a disciplinary committee on April 5 to investigate the incident after a disturbance.
After two weeks, the committee has finished its evaluation and recommended that Mabel be expelled from the CIMG Access Course because her actions were against the institution’s rules.

A number of famous celebrities have also joined the long list of people who have denounced the behavior and demanded that the authorities punish the “abusers.”
“Lashing your colleague has to be the ultimate disrespect damnnn #UPSA,” Legendary music producer, Hammer lamented on Twitter.
The school administration hasn’t made any public statements about the situation as of yet.
Relatively, following the passing of a colleague, students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have been put into a state of mourning.

According to reports, Dmond passed away from kidney failure.
On Monday, the unfortunate incident was confirmed on the Voice of KNUST Twitter page.
