For charging unlawful fees, the Western region’s Fijai Senior High School’s headmaster has been removed from his position.

The Western Regional Director of Education has been asked by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to take over management of the school from Headmaster Kenneth Agbomodze.

His interdiction is still under investigation, according to the GES, which noted that the investigation committee has been given two weeks to submit its findings to management.

It stated that Kenneth Agbomodze, the headmaster of Fijai Senior High School, has been immediately interdicted by the management of GES pending further investigation into an alleged illegal fee collection at the school.

Agbornodze must relinquish control of the school’s management to the Western Regional Director of Education.

It further stated that Management has been given two weeks to review the investigative committee’s report.

Relatively, the viral video of SHS students of GHANASCO sleeping in toilet cubicles has garnered a lot of mix reactions from Ghanaians on social media with people blasting the school authorities for acting poorly.

Following this, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has suspended GHANASCO headmaster as they have launched an intensive investigation into the viral video of converting toilets spaces into dormitories.

The Regional Director of Education has reportedly asked the head and senior housemaster to step aside so that a thorough investigation can be conducted, according to a statement released on April 16.

“The Headmaster and the Senior Housemaster have been directed to step aside to allow for further investigations into the matter by the Regional Director of Education and report back in two weeks,” the statement signed by the Head of the Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo disclosed.

Since records showed that the number of students enrolled in the school was lower than the number of openings, the statement also revealed that the school could accommodate an extra 300 students.
