Embattled member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hopeson Adorye has blasted Prophet Kofi Oduro for criticizing and insulting people endorsing Christian should listen to secular music.

Kofi Oduro descended on them heavily and stated that he doesn’t listen to secular music for counsel.

According to him, if Christians continue to listen to secular music then they are putting Christianity in jeopardy for the next ten years to come.

He further went on to describe secular music as ‘nonsense’ and he wouldn’t such songs to be played at his birthday party.

The topic on whether a Christian should listen to secular music or not has garnered a mix reactions on social media.

During a panel discussion on Best Entertainment Show on Okay FM hosted by Halifax Ansah-Addo, the husband of Gospel singer Empress Gifty, Mr. Hopeson Adorye called in to add his two cents on the topic under review.

The controversial NPP member stated emphatically that every person has got a choice and if someone says he or she enjoys secular music, Kofi Oduro has no right to condemn such a person.

According to him, some musicians use the Word of God to write songs and others use life experience to write songs to inspire people to live a good life.

He slammed prophet Oduro and said he’s a candidate for hell for insulting those who said they enjoy secular music as ‘fools, he backed his point with a Scripture from Matthew 5:22.

He also quizzed that would Prophet Oduro reject an offering from a secular musician. He wondered why Kofi Oduro would wear suits, buy food stuff from the market, use microphones and speakers to preach which are all made by people in the world but he would criticize Christians for listening to secular music.

Relatively, Prophet Kumchacha reacting to Kofi Oduro’s claim criticized the controversial man of God.

Speaking on Best Entertainment Show with Halifax Ansah-Addo on Okay FM, Kumchacha also called out Prophet Oduro for wearing women’s dress during his preaching.

According to him, the likes of Ras Kuuku, Kwabena Kwabena and other notable secular musicians have songs that give good counsel, wisdom that everyone can listen including Christian to help live a better life.

Kumchacha without miming words stated that Prophet Oduro is one of the hypocrite pastors in the country who is always hiding his dark side but attack others for expressing their desire for something.
